Calaveras County foresters are currently conducting surveys throughout the County to determine the extent of existing tree mortality. When these surveys are completed, right of entry forms will be sent to property owners that have hazardous trees that can be removed free of charge by the County. Qualifying trees must be dead or dying and close enough to a County road or other County facility to hit it if they fall. Forms have already been mailed to property owners located in the Highway 4 corridor between Big Trees Village and the Alpine County line.
If you received a form please return it as soon as possible.
